Transdev, Tallano Technologies and IVECO BUS join forces to test TAMIC\u00ae, <\/strong>a system for recovering fine particles emitted during bus braking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report on Transdev’s official website, large-scale testing will begin in the second half of 2024 on an urban transport network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially tested on three IVECO BUS (nouvelle fen\u00eatre) city buses, this fine particulate pollutant recovery technology will be implemented on 50 IVECO BUS buses during the tests. Large-scale analyses will thus be carried out in a real-life situation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developed by Tallano Technologies (nouvelle fen\u00eatre) after many years of research and development, the TAMIC\u00ae* technological solution is entering a new phase of adaptation to intensive use in heavy-duty public transport vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protected by a portfolio of some fifty patents, filed in more than ten countries, the technology makes it possible to capture more than 70% of the fine particulate pollution emitted by the friction of brake pads on bus brake discs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approximately, a city bus with an internal combustion engine generates around 4 kg of brake particles each year, which, without proper devices, end up in the atmosphere and on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system works in four stages: Suction, thanks to a slot created in the brake pad; retention where more than 70% of the fine and ultrafine particles are captured; particle filtration and recycling of collected particles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
