The commercial division of Ford, Ford Pro<\/a><\/strong>, has been chosen by the city of Dallas<\/strong>,<\/a> the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States, to collaborate in meeting its climate goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, efforts are being made to improve air quality by transitioning to an electric vehicle fleet by 2040<\/strong><\/a>, resulting in a 10-year collaboration agreement <\/strong>to expand and manage electric vehicle charging infrastructure for the city’s fleets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This agreement involves the installation of Ford Pro chargers<\/strong> at municipal worksites, as well as the implementation of Ford Pro’s smart charging software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this integrated software and hardware solution, Dallas will be able to customize and efficiently manage the charging performance of its electric vehicles<\/strong>, ensuring they are ready to work when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dallas City Commitment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, Dallas approved a comprehensive Environmental and Climate Action Plan<\/strong> to reduce carbon emissions, which includes measures such as installing electric vehicle charging points<\/strong> throughout the city and incorporating light electric vehicles into the municipal fleet, which consists of 5,400 vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
