The German manufacturer Audi<\/strong> announced that it will invest approximately 1.08 billion dollars <\/strong>in the Mexican state of Puebla<\/strong> to carry out electromobility projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to company data, Audi, part of the Volkswagen Group,<\/strong> has a plant in Mexico located in the Puebla town of San Jos\u00e9 Chiapa, where it has 5,000 employees<\/strong>, in addition to generating 20,000 indirect jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Sergio Salom\u00f3n and the Executive President of Audi’s Mexican Unit, Tarek Mashhour,<\/strong> presided over the inauguration ceremony, held on Tuesday, where it was announced that the investment will represent the creation of 500 new jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job Growth in the Industry<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Governor Salom\u00f3n<\/strong> also highlighted that in Puebla there is capacity and citizens who strengthen their talent thanks to the tools available to them, such as the Center for Specialization of High-Level Human Resources in the Automotive Industry<\/strong> (CERHAN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Mashhour<\/strong> specified that the German company is pleased to have its plant in Puebla<\/strong>, and even more so now that the administration headed by Salom\u00f3n is working with the company to make the state a center of national and international development, as well as a benchmark in electromobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, the Secretary of Economy, Ermilo Barrera Novelo<\/strong>, highlighted that Puebla has all the favorable conditions to be the big winner of the relocation of investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a successful start to the year in Monterrey, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America, closes 2024 in Mexico City.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be two days, on October 15 and 16<\/strong>, where industry leaders and private sector representatives will provide perspectives on mobility, electromobility, sustainability, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
