{"id":34999,"date":"2024-06-26T05:15:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-26T10:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=34999"},"modified":"2024-06-25T16:19:34","modified_gmt":"2024-06-25T21:19:34","slug":"colombia-evolves-in-the-strategic-transportation-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/colombia-evolves-in-the-strategic-transportation-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Colombia Evolves in the Strategic Transportation System"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Colombia&#8217;s Minister of Transportation, William Camargo<\/strong>, highlighted during the governors&#8217; summit the importance of working together with the Strategic Transportation System (SETP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The strategy will seek to find common ground in the development of new infrastructure, the migration to <strong>clean transportation fleets<\/strong> and the strengthening of bicycle and river transportation initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This work is being done by updating programs such as <strong>Visi\u00f3n Colombia<\/strong> and <strong>the National Development Plan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Colombia-1-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35004\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Colombia-1-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Colombia-1-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Colombia-1-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Colombia-1-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-progress-in-monteria\"><strong>Progress in Monter\u00eda<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The minister highlighted the example of Monter\u00eda,<\/strong> a city that has successfully implemented sustainable mobility alternatives within the SETP framework, becoming a reference for other regions of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I am delighted that this is happening in Monteria and that it is showing the world that other sustainable mobility alternatives are possible,&#8221; <strong>said Camargo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SETP<\/strong>, which seeks to improve mobility in the country&#8217;s main cities, has become a key ally for the Ministry of Transportation in promoting <strong>sustainable mobility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>National Association of Sustainable Mobility of Colombia<\/strong> (Andemos), published a report that breaks the trend of electric vehicle sales in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After 18 months of decline, the market has experienced an important change in its behavior, with an increase in zero kilometer car registrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first four months of the year, <strong>vehicle registrations reached 55,882 units<\/strong>, and projections suggest a possible total volume of 185,600 units by 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Colombia&#8217;s Minister of Transportation, William Camargo, highlighted during the governors&#8217; summit the importance of working together with the Strategic Transportation System (SETP).
