{"id":35660,"date":"2024-07-09T05:30:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-09T10:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=35660"},"modified":"2024-07-08T15:51:12","modified_gmt":"2024-07-08T20:51:12","slug":"mexico-presentation-of-the-national-mobility-agenda-2024-2030","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/mexico-presentation-of-the-national-mobility-agenda-2024-2030\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico: Presentation of the National Mobility Agenda 2024-2030"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During the twenty-ninth National Meeting of Mobility Authorities<strong>, the Mexican Association of Mobility Authorities (AMAM) <\/strong>with the technical collaboration of the World Resources Institute Mexico (WRI) worked on outlining the National Mobility Agenda 2024-2030 in Mexico to promote sustainable transportation, which they will present to authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative brought together the main authorities responsible for <strong>mobility and transportation in Mexico,<\/strong> with the aim of outlining a comprehensive strategy to improve urban mobility in the country over the next six years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to WRI Mexico, urban mobility in the country faces great challenges, but with the <strong>implementation of this agenda<\/strong>, they are committed to guaranteeing the right to mobility in conditions of safety, accessibility, efficiency, sustainability, quality, inclusion and equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You may also read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/mexico-student-project-converts-car-to-electric\/\"><strong>Mexico: Student Project Converts Car to Electric<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that this joint effort seeks to transform urban mobility in Mexico, ensuring that all people can exercise <strong>their right to move safely and efficiently, <\/strong>while promoting sustainable and equitable development for the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-public-sector-importance\"><strong>Public Sector Importance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WRI Mexico and AMAM<\/strong> called on President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and her future government to establish a common agenda for collaboration between federal and subnational authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This collaboration is essential to ensure that all people in Mexico can exercise their right to mobility in conditions of safety, accessibility, <strong>efficiency, sustainability, quality, inclusion and equality.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the document is finalized, it will be presented to the relevant authorities to continue the dialogue and collaboration to jointly build this important agenda for <strong>Mexico&#8217;s economic, social and environmental development.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The institute added that despite the progress made in the last six years, significant challenges remain, particularly in the renewal of an aging public transport fleet and the formalization of <strong>the sector&#8217;s workers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/latam-green.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/LM-Mexico.jpg\" alt=\"Mexico\" class=\"wp-image-26421\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-latam-mobility-closes-tour-in-mexico-city\"><strong>Latam Mobility closes tour in Mexico City<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After a successful start to the year in <strong>Monterrey, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America, <strong>closes 2024 in Mexico City.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be two days, <strong>on October 15 and 16<\/strong>, where industry leaders and private sector representatives will provide perspectives on mobility, electromobility, sustainability, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting will be held at the <strong>World Trade Center in Mexico City<\/strong>.
