This is Geely&#8217;s New Battery"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Chinese brand Geely<\/strong> presented its latest breakthrough with <strong>a lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) battery<\/strong>, a chemical combination that, with new manufacturing processes, materials and thermal management techniques, allows it to achieve things that a few years ago seemed diametrically impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company states in an <strong>Autocosmos report<\/strong> that this battery can last as long as<strong> 1 million kilometers of use <\/strong>and would continue to maintain an optimal state of charge for <strong>at least 50 years.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This represents a breakthrough for this type of technology, since the average of current batteries is between 15 and 20 years, and about <strong>600,000 kilometers of use.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You may also read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/bbva-mexico-and-geely-establish-financial-institution-to-grant-more-than-18000-loans\/\"><strong>BBVA Mexico and Geely Establish Financial Institution to Grant More than 18,000 Loans<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-safety\"><strong>Safety<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other improvements presented by Geely<\/strong> focus on safety with new components, coatings and insulators that have been improved and further stabilized the electrochemical reactions that allow it to function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In that sense, <strong>Geely <\/strong>promises that its new battery can withstand up to 3,500 charge cycles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this, Geely not only ensures that the resale value of electric cars will remain at better levels, they also emphasize that they would reduce polluting emissions by up to <strong>80,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year<\/strong>, thanks to the fact that it would not be necessary to produce as many batteries as before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of charging capacity, this new battery is capable of charging <strong>from 10% to 80% with a fast charger in only 17 minutes<\/strong>, while an older generation battery achieved the same in 26 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the battery can retain up to 90.54% of its charge in temperatures below -30\u00b0C, while older batteries retained <strong>only 78.96% of their charge in the same conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chinese brand Geely presented its latest breakthrough with a lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) battery, a chemical combination that, with new manufacturing processes, materials and thermal management techniques, allows it to achieve things that a few years ago seemed diametrically impossible.
