Geotab<\/strong> sealed an agreement with BYD<\/strong> to integrate its fleet management devices in Europe with BYD Trucks Europe<\/strong>, a division of the Chinese manufacturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration enables BYD Trucks Europe<\/strong> to manage its fleets throughout Europe using the comprehensive connectivity solution offered by Geotab, which helps ensure data privacy and security in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the pact, BYD’s electric trucks<\/strong> imported into Europe will feature Geotab’s specialized telematics hardware<\/strong>, which collects vehicle data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The data with customer consent will be used by BYD Trucks Europe to improve vehicle management, maintenance and service, with the goal of minimizing planned and unplanned downtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, BYD Trucks Europe will offer Geotab’s telematics services to its customers<\/strong>, enabling transport companies to access relevant data to improve efficiency, operations, cost management and fleet sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that regard, Christoph Ludewig, Geotab’s Vice President OEM Europe<\/strong>, explained that the integration with BYD Trucks Europe underscores the confidence in Geotab’s technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
