XPO Logistics, official transport partner of the Tour de France for four decades, will reduce the environmental impact of transporting the material necessary for the smooth logistical operation of the famous cycling event by using HVO biofuel and an electric truck.

The Tour has a total distance of 3,498 kilometers. The LESS® HVO solution, introduced by XPO Logistics in 2023, enables CO2 emissions to be reduced by up to 90% and fine particulate and NOx pollution by up to 30% compared to diesel.

A “Renewable Energies” report states that since the start of the Tour on June 29 at the Grande Boucle in Florence (Italy), a team of 59 XPO Logistics drivers has been moving logistics material from stage to stage in trucks using HVO biofuel and electric fuel.
