Copec Voltex<\/strong>, the electromobility division of Copec in Chile<\/strong>, has placed special focus on mining, a sector whose transformation has great potential to ensure a sustainable country for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company emphasizes that its comprehensive strategy drives the energy transition in mining through the provision of key infrastructure for the electrification of shuttle buses, seeking to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable practices in the industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In addition to the public charging infrastructure that we have enabled along more than 1,800 kilometers on Chile’s highways, we seek to expand our presence at the industrial level, implementing electric charging stations at strategic sites, with high-tech chargers that energize fleets of 100% electric buses”, emphasizes Copec Voltex on its official website.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Figures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Copec details that it currently operates 67 chargers<\/strong> at various mining sites and 17 additional industrial facilities<\/strong>, having electrified approximately 200 buses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“One of our most ambitious projects has been the installation of 94 charging points to energize more than 150 electric buses in three divisions of Codelco, a project that included the complete service of installation, maintenance and remote monitoring of the chargers, ensuring efficient and continuous operation,” says the company.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They specify that these are 48 fast charging points at El Teniente<\/strong>, in Rancagua, for buses converted to electric energy, helping this division to have 100% of its fleet for internal personnel under electric energy operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, another 20 charging points<\/strong> are being considered in Rancagua to energize the buses that transport workers from the city to the mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, 8 charging points were installed in the Andina division, in the Valpara\u00edso Region; and 18 charging points in Chuquicamata<\/strong>, in the Antofagasta Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latam Mobility in Chile<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In August, Latam Mobility,<\/strong> the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America, will once again arrive in Santiago de Chile<\/strong> for its 2024 meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
