For years, Mercado Libre<\/strong> has been working to reduce its carbon footprint through various strategies, notably including the integration of electric vehicles into its transportation fleet, which now includes more than 2,000 units across Latin America.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To achieve this, a $400 million sustainable bond issued in 2021<\/strong> was used to cover the investment in electrified vehicles, adding 500 delivery vans to the existing fleet, bringing the total to over 1,000 units in the Latin American region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia <\/strong>now have deliveries made using these electric vehicles, as part of the company’s sustainability initiatives focused on internal operations, emission reduction, and offsetting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
