With the aim of promoting sustainable mobility in the country, Ecuador has developed its National Policy on Sustainable Urban Mobility (PNMU), a plan designed to enhance environmental sustainability in the urban mobility sector.

This plan was initiated in 2019 thanks to a €500,000 contribution from the European Union’s Euroclima+ Program, an initiative aimed at supporting the country in achieving its 2030 Agenda and focused on establishing a cooperative pathway to improve urban mobility infrastructure through specific projects.

In this way, the Policy brings together the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, the French Development Agency, and the Spanish-Ecuadorian association TRN Taryet and A&V Consultores Cía. Ltda., all aligned towards creating a positive impact on the sector from various perspectives.
