BYD has partnered with Uber<\/strong> to introduce 100,000 of its electric cars to the cab platform. The partnership will start in Europe and Latin America<\/strong>, with plans to expand to the Middle East, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to statements from Uber and BYD, the main objective of the new partnership is to accelerate the electrification<\/strong> of the transportation app, a challenge that Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi already acknowledged earlier this year as “complicated.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uber and BYD will offer drivers lower prices for vehicles and financing,<\/strong> discounts on battery recharges, maintenance, insurance, and leases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
