ABB was recognized in Chile by the Science Based Targets Initiative for zero emissions by 2030 and 2050. ABB‘s official website explains that in Chile, one of the initiatives developed in line with ABB’s sustainability goals is the Energy Efficiency Movement (EEM).

As part of ABB’s efforts to move towards a low-carbon society, the company established science-based zero emissions targets aligned to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) standard.

This entity was established in 2015, with the aim of helping companies set emissions reduction targets in line with climate science and the Paris Agreement goals. SBTi verification confirms that ABB’s CO2 emissions targets are science-based and in line with the parameters of the initiative.
