{"id":38727,"date":"2024-09-02T05:15:44","date_gmt":"2024-09-02T10:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=38727"},"modified":"2024-08-31T22:23:41","modified_gmt":"2024-09-01T03:23:41","slug":"mexico-citys-passenger-transportation-network-to-incorporate-new-electric-fleet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/mexico-citys-passenger-transportation-network-to-incorporate-new-electric-fleet\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico City&#8217;s Passenger Transportation Network to Incorporate New Electric Fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The new electric fleet of the Passenger Transportation Network (RTP) will soon arrive in Mexico City, which will contribute to <strong>the decarbonization of the vehicle fleet.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, the General Director of the RTP, Sergio Osorio, and the Secretary of Mobility, Andr\u00e9s Lajous Loaeza, supervised the progress of <strong>the New Charging Center for electric units,<\/strong> located in module 7 in the Azcapotzalco district, which will supply them with energy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to local media \u201cLa Prensa\u201d, the recharging area contemplates the installation of <strong>25 state-of-the-art electric chargers,<\/strong> ideal for the operation of the new 50 buses; the first <strong>100 percent electric fleet of RTP,<\/strong> which will join the electromobility project in Mexico City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Bus-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38733\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Bus-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Bus-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Bus-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Bus.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You may also read: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/mexico-camargos-authorities-present-plan-to-electrify-public-fleets\/\">Mexico: Camargo\u2019s Authorities Present Plan to Electrify Public Fleets<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Goals Achieved<\/strong> Osorio highlighted the achievements made in record time, with the removal of <strong>1,500 tons of debris,<\/strong> including roofs and walls, as well as the successful completion of <strong>the medium voltage lines<\/strong> and the placement of <strong>the perimeter fence<\/strong> on the <strong>6,500 square meter site.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the RTP director announced the <strong>integral renovation of this space,<\/strong> which will feed the new units <strong>free of polluting emissions and noise,<\/strong> which will be accessible to people with some type of disability, as they will have <strong>a kneeling system, low entrance at sidewalk level, ramp for wheelchair users<\/strong> and preferential spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official specified that the new electric buses will run on routes <strong>34 A (Balderas &#8211; Santa Fe)<\/strong> and <strong>57 (Cuatro Caminos &#8211; Metro Constituci\u00f3n de 1917).<\/strong> With this acquisition, the RTP takes <strong>a technological leap forward<\/strong> for the benefit of the citizens and the environment of Mexico City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-latam-mobility-in-mexico\"><strong>Latam Mobility in Mexico<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Latam Mobility, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America, <strong>closes 2024 in Mexico City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be <strong>two days, on October 15 and 16<\/strong>, where industry leaders and private sector representatives will provide insights on mobility, electromobility, sustainability, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/LM-M-1.jpg\" alt=\"M\u00e9xico\" class=\"wp-image-38192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/LM-M-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/LM-M-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/LM-M-1-768x429.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will take place at <strong>the World Trade Center in the Mexican capital<\/strong>.
