Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD<\/strong> reduced its list of finalists for the location of a production plant in Mexico to three states<\/strong>, from which it has received a series of incentives to make its investment, the head of the company in the country reported on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to Reuters news agency, BYD’s general manager in Mexico, Jorge Vallejo<\/strong>, said the inducements offered by the states included tax, land, management and preferential pricing advantages. He did not name the finalist regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In April, Reuters exclusively reported that Mexico’s federal government <\/strong>had halted incentives to Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers under pressure from the United States. BYD has already said its Mexico plant will not supply the U.S. market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
