{"id":39724,"date":"2024-09-16T05:20:01","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T10:20:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=39724"},"modified":"2024-09-13T15:58:20","modified_gmt":"2024-09-13T20:58:20","slug":"chile-copec-voltex-and-porsche-present-electromobility-corridor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/chile-copec-voltex-and-porsche-present-electromobility-corridor\/","title":{"rendered":"Chile: Copec Voltex and Porsche Present Electromobility Corridor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In a <strong>strategic alliance<\/strong> between <strong>Copec Voltex<\/strong> and <strong>Porsche<\/strong>, the initiative that seeks to turn the <strong>O&#8217;Higgins Region<\/strong> into a benchmark for <strong>sustainable tourism<\/strong> and that encourages <strong>electromobility<\/strong> is presented through the new <strong>Green Corridor<\/strong> that will allow both residents and visitors to enjoy <strong>charging stations<\/strong> while enjoying days of rest and vacation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project achieved the installation of a network of <strong>10 charging stations<\/strong> for <strong>electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles<\/strong>, strategically located in hotels from the <strong>foothills of the Andes Mountains<\/strong>, passing through the <strong>vineyards of the Colchagua Valley<\/strong> and reaching the <strong>coasts of Pichilemu<\/strong> and <strong>Matanzas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement between <strong>Porsche<\/strong> and <strong>Copec Voltex<\/strong> aims to boost <strong>electromobility in Chile<\/strong> by developing <strong>charging infrastructure<\/strong> and promoting the use of <strong>electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-key-partnership\"><strong>Key Partnership<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gabriel Montenegro<\/strong>, Commercial Manager of <strong>Porsche Chile<\/strong>, explained that after years of trying to promote <strong>electric charging points<\/strong> in public places or in interesting places such as <strong>vineyards<\/strong> and <strong>restaurants<\/strong>, they were able to achieve this <strong>alliance with a local strategic partner<\/strong> such as <strong>Copec Voltex<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Porsche-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39717\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Porsche-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Porsche-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Porsche-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Porsche.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You may also read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/chile-100-electric-buses-will-be-incorporated-in-punta-arenas\/\">Chile: 100 Electric Buses will be Incorporated in Punta Arenas<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea is to install a <strong>network of fast and ultra-fast chargers<\/strong> for this type of vehicles, making it easier and more convenient for their owners to charge their cars throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor our customers we must move forward with <strong>electromobility projects<\/strong> to the places where they go. In the <strong>O`Higgins Region<\/strong> they have an important number of <strong>vineyards, boutique hotels<\/strong> and places that we know our customers visit and the <strong>presence of charging points<\/strong> is necessary,\u201d said <strong>Montenegro<\/strong> in statements reviewed to <strong>El Mostrador<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Andrea Castro<\/strong>, General Manager of <strong>Copec Voltex<\/strong>, stressed that having <strong>alliances<\/strong> that help to accelerate this <strong>electromobility process<\/strong> is fundamental, especially in other regions and in cities other than <strong>Santiago<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn this particular project, the idea is to promote this <strong>tour of wineries<\/strong> that is recognized even outside Chile, so that visitors to these wineries can live a <strong>more sustainable experience<\/strong>,\u201d adds the executive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through its <strong>Destination Charging<\/strong> program and in collaboration with <strong>Copec Voltex<\/strong>, the German brand already has <strong>nine charging points in Chile<\/strong>, located in <strong>strategic places<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a strategic alliance between Copec Voltex and Porsche, the initiative that seeks to turn the O&#8217;Higgins Region into a benchmark for sustainable tourism and that encourages electromobility is presented through the new Green Corridor that will allow both residents and visitors to enjoy charging stations while enjoying days of rest and vacation.
