{"id":39740,"date":"2024-09-13T05:15:24","date_gmt":"2024-09-13T10:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=39740"},"modified":"2024-09-12T17:40:08","modified_gmt":"2024-09-12T22:40:08","slug":"opening-of-the-municipal-innovation-center-for-energy-and-electromobility-in-chile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/opening-of-the-municipal-innovation-center-for-energy-and-electromobility-in-chile\/","title":{"rendered":"Opening of the Municipal Innovation Center for Energy and Electromobility in Chile"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Public Library of Frutillar, Chile<\/strong>, hosted the launch of the <strong>Municipal Innovation Center for Energy and Electromobility (CIME2)<\/strong>, the first municipal innovation center in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative is promoted by the <strong>innovation and development office<\/strong> of the <strong>Municipality of Frutillar<\/strong>, together with the <strong>Chilean-German Industrial High School<\/strong> of the same commune and the support of the <strong>Regional Innovation Center of Los Lagos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the activity, two talks related to <strong>electromobility<\/strong>, <strong>renewable energies<\/strong> and <strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong> were given by <strong>Rodrigo Palma<\/strong>, PhD in Engineering and Researcher at the <strong>Energy Center of the University of Chile<\/strong>, and <strong>Nicol\u00e1s Beghelli<\/strong>, Co-Founder of <strong>MInverso<\/strong>, the first <strong>mining metaverse<\/strong> in the world and one of the <strong>9 metaverse platforms worldwide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Mayor of Frutillar, C\u00e9sar Huenuqueo<\/strong>, valued the initiative as a commitment to introduce these topics in the education of students in the commune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/CIME-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39736\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/CIME-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/CIME-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/CIME-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/CIME-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThree and a half years ago we decided to create a <strong>municipal office of innovation and development<\/strong>, where the idea was generated and one of the fundamental topics was <strong>energy and electromobility<\/strong>, we are very pleased with the <strong>public-private collaboration<\/strong> involved in this work,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-articulation\"><strong>Articulation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rodrigo Palma<\/strong>, researcher at the <strong>Energy Center of the University of Chile<\/strong>, highlighted the <strong>public-private articulation<\/strong> to make known the new trends in <strong>electromobility<\/strong> and <strong>renewable energies<\/strong>.<br>\u201cThe public and private world, the young world, education, it was very nice, I think it is a very good starting point for this <strong>innovation center<\/strong>, which I think looks to the future\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mauricio Henriquez<\/strong>, Corporate Affairs Manager of <strong>wpd Chile<\/strong>, outlined the company&#8217;s vision for the <strong>country&#8217;s energy transition<\/strong>, emphasizing that the operation of <strong>renewable energy parks<\/strong> requires <strong>human capital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough our participation in initiatives such as this, we want to promote the <strong>education of the local community<\/strong>, which plays a fundamental role in the <strong>decarbonization of the country&#8217;s energy matrix<\/strong>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Public Library of Frutillar, Chile, hosted the launch of the Municipal Innovation Center for Energy and Electromobility (CIME2), the first municipal innovation center in the region.
