Hitachi Energy<\/strong> is strengthening its position as a major contributor<\/strong> to decarbonization<\/strong> and boosting renewable energy<\/strong> by investing more than $200 million<\/strong> to expand transformer operations<\/strong> in Brazil<\/strong> to address growing global demand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a company press release<\/strong>, the investment, announced during Hitachi Energy’s 70th anniversary<\/strong> celebration in Brazil<\/strong>, is the company’s largest<\/strong> in the country in decades and will create more than 600 direct jobs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will include the expansion<\/strong> and modernization<\/strong> of the Guarulhos transformer factory<\/strong> in S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong> and the construction of a state-of-the-art transformer manufacturing plant<\/strong>, which is expected to be ready by 2028<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
