Mexico<\/strong> has become a vital territory<\/strong> for investment and technology development by electric bus manufacturer Yutong<\/strong> in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yutong Bus<\/strong> will build a plant<\/strong> in Mexico<\/strong> to supply the domestic market<\/strong> with electric units<\/strong> for passenger transport<\/strong> as part of the electromobility strategy<\/strong> being promoted in Mexico City<\/strong> from 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview with the local media \u201cCr\u00f3nica\u201d<\/strong>, Michael Ren<\/strong>, CEO of Yutong Mexico<\/strong>, pointed out that tariffs<\/strong> for electric vehicles<\/strong> in the electromobility market<\/strong> and, within the framework of the T-MEC<\/strong> with the United States<\/strong> and the irruption of nearshoring<\/strong>, would have to be carefully analyzed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the executive’s opinion, they could affect the opportunity for citizens to have efficient<\/strong>, environmentally friendly<\/strong> and dignified transportation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yutong’s plans<\/strong> to invest in a plant<\/strong> in Mexico<\/strong> to accelerate the expansion of the so-called e-buses<\/strong> is presented together with plans to open facilities in other regions such as Karachi<\/strong>, Pakistan<\/strong>, where it would build facilities to manufacture intercity buses<\/strong> and electric buses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Chile<\/strong>, according to Cr\u00f3nica<\/strong>, Yutong<\/strong> is also expanding its presence in the electromobility market<\/strong>.
By the end of 2024<\/strong>, the Asian electromobility giant<\/strong> for mass passenger transport<\/strong> expects to close with sales of more than 600 units<\/strong>, while by 2025<\/strong> sales would rise to 1,000 units<\/strong>, which would justify the installation of a plant<\/strong> in Mexico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With almost 700 electric units<\/strong> for mass passenger transportation<\/strong> already circulating in the country, now the Asian mega firm<\/strong> will seek to expand its presence nationwide<\/strong>, after winning several public tenders<\/strong> in Mexico City<\/strong> to sell hundreds of new generation trolleybuses<\/strong> aimed at taking advantage of and recovering the routes of the old trolleybus<\/strong> that operated in the 1950s<\/strong> between the south<\/strong> and the historic downtown area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community<\/strong> in Latin America<\/strong>, closes 2024<\/strong> in Mexico City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
