The State of Mexico<\/strong> maintains key public policies<\/strong> to promote a shift towards sustainable mobility<\/strong> and zero emissions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days ago, a working group called \u201cStrategy for Electrification\u201d<\/strong> and the creation of a \u201cCharging Infrastructure Plan for Electric Vehicles\u201d<\/strong> was held, organized by the Secretariat of Mobility (Semov)<\/strong> in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the presentation, Daniel Sibaja Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, Secretary of State Mobility<\/strong>, emphasized that collaboration with international organizations<\/strong> is crucial to face the challenges and evaluate the institutional implications<\/strong> related to the transition to electric mobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In statements reviewed by the local media \u201cContra R\u00e9plica\u201d<\/strong>, he pointed out that the purpose is to facilitate a transition towards sustainable mobility<\/strong> with electric vehicles<\/strong> and to establish an adequate charging infrastructure<\/strong> in the entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future Technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sibaja<\/strong> emphasized the importance of electromobility<\/strong> for the State of Mexico<\/strong>, noting that \u201cit is here to stay\u201d<\/strong>, and that its impact will extend beyond the automotive sector<\/strong>, positively affecting various sectors of the economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He assured that it is vital \u201cnot only to consider the trucks or the electric service, but a whole institutional legal gear\u201d<\/strong> necessary for an effective transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The secretary also highlighted the need for collaboration with key leaders<\/strong> such as Mexico’s President Elect<\/strong>, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo<\/strong>; Mexico City’s next Chief of Government<\/strong>, Clara Brugada<\/strong>; and Alejandro Encinas<\/strong>, CDMX’s next Secretary of Planning and Land Management<\/strong>. \u201cWe are here because it is fundamental to work together\u201d<\/strong>, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the same lines, Amado Crotte<\/strong>, IDB Transport Specialist in Mexico<\/strong>, joined Sibaja<\/strong> in stressing the importance of coordination between local, state and federal authorities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCooperation between all levels of government is essential to develop a comprehensive mobility policy,\u201d<\/strong> Crotte<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
