Coahuila, Mexico<\/strong> is experiencing significant growth in the production of electric vehicles<\/strong>. A little more than a year after production of the Chevrolet Blazer EV 2025 electric pickup<\/strong> began at the General Motors<\/strong> complex in Ramos Arizpe<\/strong>, it is now a reality for the domestic and export markets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alicia del Valle Soto<\/strong>, Executive Director of the Ramos Arizpe Assembly Plant<\/strong>, announced that production of the Chevrolet Blazer EV electric pickup truck<\/strong> for export began in the third quarter of 2023<\/strong> and will also be available for sale in the Mexican market<\/strong> before the end of 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a report by the local media Milenio<\/strong>, it was mentioned that during the first quarter of 2024<\/strong>, production of the Chevrolet Equinox EV electric van<\/strong> also began, for export and for the domestic market<\/strong>; its pre-sale in Mexico<\/strong> began in June<\/strong> and since August<\/strong> it has been available to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last August<\/strong>, Governor Manolo Jim\u00e9nez Salinas<\/strong> toured the General Motors<\/strong> plant in Ramos Arizpe<\/strong>, where he highlighted Coahuila’s automotive industrial strength<\/strong>, which makes the state the largest producer<\/strong> of both traditional and electric vehicles<\/strong> in Mexico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The governor highlighted the performance of General Motors<\/strong> workers, whose Ramos Arizpe complex<\/strong> is the largest producer of electric vehicles in the country<\/strong>, strengthening Coahuila’s automotive cluster<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Currently, the Ramos Arizpe complex<\/strong> of General Motors<\/strong>, which produces the largest number of electric vehicles<\/strong> in Mexico<\/strong>, employs 10,000 direct employees<\/strong> working in three shifts<\/strong> and is the fifth in North America<\/strong> to produce electric vehicles<\/strong>, contributing to the company’s vision of achieving a Zero Emissions<\/strong> future, in addition to being the company with the largest supply nationwide<\/strong> with more than 620 suppliers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On its platform chevrolet.com.mx<\/strong>, the advantages of electromobility<\/strong> offered by the Blazer EV 2025<\/strong> are described, having the Ultium battery platform<\/strong>, General Motors technology<\/strong>, which allows different configurations regarding charging speeds<\/strong>, range<\/strong> and battery performance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community<\/strong> in Latin America<\/strong>, closes 2024<\/strong> in Mexico City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There will be two days, on October 15 and 16<\/strong>, where industry leaders<\/strong> and private sector representatives<\/strong> will provide perspectives on mobility<\/strong>, electromobility<\/strong>, sustainability<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\nLinks Between Public and Private Sectors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
