{"id":40304,"date":"2024-09-27T05:20:28","date_gmt":"2024-09-27T10:20:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=40304"},"modified":"2024-09-26T15:47:19","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T20:47:19","slug":"zeroca-boosts-electromobility-in-chile-on-paris-agreement-grounds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/zeroca-boosts-electromobility-in-chile-on-paris-agreement-grounds\/","title":{"rendered":"Zeroca Boosts Electromobility in Chile on Paris Agreement Grounds"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On <strong>December 9, 2023<\/strong>, <strong>Chile<\/strong> signed a bilateral climate agreement with <strong>Switzerland<\/strong> under <strong>Article 6<\/strong> of the <strong>Paris Agreement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement opened a financing opportunity for projects that reduce <strong>greenhouse gas emissions<\/strong> in <strong>Chile<\/strong>, including <strong>electromobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the country, the <strong>ZEROCA program<\/strong> will accelerate the transition to <strong>electromobility<\/strong> through the participation of various key actors linked to the transportation sector (owners, suppliers or manufacturers of the technology, investors, operators, <strong>leasing companies<\/strong>, among others).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Yo may also read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/chile-advances-with-the-renovation-of-buses-minibuses-trolleybuses-taxibuses-and-colectivos-program\/\">Chile Advances with the \u201cRenovation of Buses, Minibuses, Trolleybuses, Taxibuses and Colectivos\u201d Program<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan will promote electric mobility in different categories of electric vehicles (either <strong>battery<\/strong> or <strong>fuel cell<\/strong> with <strong>green hydrogen<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Zeroca-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40311\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Zeroca-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Zeroca-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Zeroca-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Zeroca-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-vehicles-considered\"><strong>Vehicles Considered<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Among them are <strong>vans<\/strong> and <strong>heavy vehicles<\/strong> for cargo transportation; <strong>intercity buses<\/strong> for passenger transportation; public transportation buses; <strong>corporate buses<\/strong> for personnel transportation; <strong>motorcycles<\/strong> and <strong>3-wheeled vehicles<\/strong> used for commercial purposes (home transportation and\/or delivery services).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also includes <strong>mobile machinery equipment<\/strong> such as <strong>forklifts<\/strong>, <strong>dump trucks<\/strong>, <strong>graders<\/strong>, and forklifts used in warehouses, construction sites, ports, airports, and mining sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, <strong>commercial vessels<\/strong> used for passenger or cargo transportation and <strong>cargo infrastructure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>program<\/strong> is expected to cover the entire country, to support the massification of this type of low or zero-emission transportation, which, in addition to contributing to <strong>climate change mitigation<\/strong>, will also have benefits for people&#8217;s health and quality of life, by reducing air and noise pollution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On December 9, 2023, Chile signed a bilateral climate agreement with Switzerland under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
