We worked hard together with <strong>AMIVE, Enel, Evergo, Cenace, and the National Electricity Confederation<\/strong> to lay the <strong>first stone<\/strong> and set the foundation for those wanting to develop <strong>charging infrastructure<\/strong> and have the <strong>necessary parameters<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c1ngel believes that the regulation <strong>gave clarity to everyone<\/strong> in the country, benefiting the <strong>environment<\/strong>, with the objective that <strong>all actors adopt and respect this regulation<\/strong> and prepare for future editions facing <strong>economic challenges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Walter-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41833\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Walter-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Walter-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Walter-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Walter-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt already happened in <strong>Mexico City<\/strong> and we need it across the country. We must keep discussing, moving forward, proposing how to integrate the changes, and we appreciate spaces like <strong>Latam Mobility<\/strong> to <strong>establish coordination<\/strong> and keep ourselves updated,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He explained that they are working on a standardization program for chargers to the <strong>national electric system<\/strong>, highlighting that the <strong>technical part<\/strong> is associated with the <strong>Mexican standard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-regulation-approved\"><strong>The regulation approved<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>\u201cGeneral administrative provisions on electromobility<\/strong> for the integration of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles connectable to the <strong>National Electric System<\/strong> as part of a <strong>Smart Grid<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the <strong>first regulation<\/strong> on <strong>electromobility<\/strong> issued by the regulatory body and addresses the <strong>charging infrastructure<\/strong> for electric vehicles and <strong>plug-in hybrid vehicles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The provisions state that the <strong>CRE<\/strong> will have a maximum of <strong>24 months<\/strong> (two years from the entry into force of this regulation) to develop and implement an <strong>IT platform<\/strong> that will keep the <strong>registration, monitoring, and evolution<\/strong> of the charging infrastructure for <strong>electromobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Walter Juli\u00e1n \u00c1ngel, head of the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission, opened the second day of \u201cLatam Mobility &amp; Net Zero: Mexico 2024\u201d.
