{"id":42648,"date":"2024-11-07T05:20:15","date_gmt":"2024-11-07T10:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=42648"},"modified":"2024-11-06T16:11:16","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T21:11:16","slug":"students-from-the-state-of-mexico-build-electric-vehicles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/students-from-the-state-of-mexico-build-electric-vehicles\/","title":{"rendered":"Students from the State of Mexico Build Electric Vehicles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Students<\/strong> from the <strong>Mechatronics Engineering<\/strong> program at the <strong>Tecnol\u00f3gico de Estudios Superiores de Jocotitl\u00e1n<\/strong>, in the north of the <strong>State of Mexico<\/strong>, have built <strong>two vehicles<\/strong> that run on <strong>electricity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <strong>Mexican media Milenio<\/strong>, one of these models will compete nationally in a <strong>university electromobility contest<\/strong>, while the other will be marketed by a <strong>private company<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students built a simple <strong>car<\/strong> that will compete with other <strong>university units<\/strong> from all over the country. \u201cThe theme is <strong>electromobility<\/strong>, vehicles that operate with the use of <strong>electricity<\/strong>,\u201d said <strong>Elvis Couti\u00f1o Moreno<\/strong>, <strong>Head of Electromechanical Engineering Division<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-1-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-42641\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-1-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-1-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-1-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-1-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis topic is important because we are looking for <strong>electromobility<\/strong> to reduce the consumption of <strong>fossil fuels<\/strong> and reduce <strong>pollution<\/strong>,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You may also read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/general-motors-invests-10-million-for-battery-development\/\">General Motors Invests $10 Million for Battery Development<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Couti\u00f1o<\/strong> explained that this is a <strong>federal government<\/strong> plan to introduce the development of <strong>electric automobiles<\/strong>, which is why the <strong>Jocotitl\u00e1n Higher Education Technological School<\/strong> is joining this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-local-production\"><strong>Local Production<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>vehicles<\/strong> were designed in the <strong>northern area<\/strong> of the <strong>State of Mexico<\/strong>, which has the particularity of being <strong>agricultural<\/strong>, however, they bet to believe in this model of <strong>electromobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-2-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-42644\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-2-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-2-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-2-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/MX-2-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDespite the fact that the <strong>Technological of Higher Studies of Jocotitl\u00e1n<\/strong> is located in a <strong>rural area<\/strong>, with pride, we have a demand from a large part of the <strong>northern part of the State of Mexico<\/strong>, in fact, we have <strong>students<\/strong> coming from <strong>Toluca<\/strong> and we have <strong>students<\/strong> coming from <strong>Atlacomulco<\/strong>, <strong>Ixtlahuaca<\/strong> and all the municipalities that are in the area,\u201d said <strong>Couti\u00f1o<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>students<\/strong> of this <strong>technological center<\/strong> designed a couple of units.
