{"id":43221,"date":"2024-11-26T05:30:07","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T10:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=43221"},"modified":"2024-11-26T07:39:45","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T12:39:45","slug":"postobon-launches-prototype-of-electrically-assisted-last-mile-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/postobon-launches-prototype-of-electrically-assisted-last-mile-vehicle\/","title":{"rendered":"Postob\u00f3n launches prototype of electrically-assisted last-mile vehicle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In collaboration with <strong>Universidad EAFIT<\/strong> through its institutional program <strong>Kratos<\/strong>, <strong>Postob\u00f3n<\/strong> has officially unveiled the prototype of the <strong>Electrically-Assisted Last-Mile Vehicle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This design aims to address the challenge of optimizing beverage distribution in the <strong>La Bayadera<\/strong> sector of Medell\u00edn, enhancing logistics and promoting a more efficient and sustainable transportation model, aligned with urban environmental demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle is designed to carry up to <strong>500 kg of cargo<\/strong>, reach a maximum speed of <strong>12 km\/h<\/strong>, and tackle slopes of up to <strong>8%<\/strong>, making it ideal for urban areas with varied terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Postobon-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-43223\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Postobon-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Postobon-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Postobon-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Postobon.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Related content<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/toyota-triples-investments-in-electromobility-in-mexico\/\">Toyota Triples Investments in Electromobility in Mexico<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its <strong>15 km autonomy<\/strong> allows it to efficiently complete a distribution shift, while its structure, made with <strong>Tetra Pak<\/strong> (a sustainable material), contributes to environmental sustainability and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sustainable-mobility\"><strong>Sustainable mobility<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This new vehicle joins the seven previous projects developed by <strong>Kratos<\/strong> in collaboration with <strong>Postob\u00f3n<\/strong>, including the <strong>VTE (Electric Traction Vehicle)<\/strong>, designed to maximize the distance traveled with the least energy consumption in the shortest possible time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also notable are the <strong>VRK (Kratos Recycling Vehicle)<\/strong> and the <strong>VRE (EAFIT Recycling Vehicle)<\/strong>, created to promote inclusive ecological mobility.
