The National Auto Parts Industry (INA)<\/strong> ruled out that the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC)<\/strong> will go through a renegotiation, although it warned that the next revision will have to address issues related to software<\/strong>, semiconductors<\/strong>, and electromobility<\/strong>, which were not present when the new treaty was signed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a publication of the Mexican media El Diario<\/strong>, Gabriel Padilla<\/strong>, INA’s<\/strong> new General Director, said in a press conference that after the election of Donald Trump<\/strong> as President of the United States, it is to be expected that trade issues will require greater oversight and demand, without this meaning the risk of a renegotiation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWithout a doubt, the T-MEC<\/strong> issue is a review. It is a mandate that is calling for around 2026 and that is foreseen. However, within the review mechanism, what has been commented is that this review opens issues of the trade relationship on what is going to be the tripartite position with respect to China<\/strong>,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
