The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) of Peru has amended the Regulation for the Single National Vehicle Plate to enhance the vehicle identification system by incorporating new categories established in the National Vehicle Regulations and measures to promote electromobility.

In this update, the governing body for transportation and traffic has revised the technical and registrable parameters of the Single National Vehicle Plate, particularly for category L vehicles (motorcycles, mototaxis, quadricycles).

In line with promoting the use of clean energy in transportation, which the MTC has been advocating, a distinctive mark will be added to the plates of electric and hybrid vehicles.
