The Mexican Senate<\/strong> held the conference \u201cThe Realistic Vision of the Transition to Electromobility\u201d<\/strong>, where it was highlighted that the electric vehicle fleet in Mexico<\/strong> represents less than 1% of the total<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a review by Global Energy<\/strong>, Pablo Gualdi<\/strong>, President and CEO of ATIO Group<\/strong>, specified that more than 80% of the sold electric vehicles are hybrids<\/strong>, which indicates the long road ahead for a full transition. Dependence on hydrocarbons<\/strong>, since 90% of the national energy matrix<\/strong> remains based on fossil fuels<\/strong>.
Challenges identified in the session include insufficient infrastructure<\/strong> and unregulated fast-charging stations<\/strong> for electric energies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Duration of traditional vehicle fleet<\/strong>, with light vehicles operating up to 16 years<\/strong> and heavy vehicles up to 30 years<\/strong> on average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
