{"id":44443,"date":"2024-12-18T05:20:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-18T10:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=44443"},"modified":"2024-12-20T11:58:04","modified_gmt":"2024-12-20T16:58:04","slug":"paraguay-will-have-financing-to-promote-electric-mobility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/paraguay-will-have-financing-to-promote-electric-mobility\/","title":{"rendered":"Paraguay will have financing to promote electric mobility"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Paraguayan Congress<\/strong> approved a proposal made by <strong>South Korea<\/strong>, with an estimated <strong>15 million dollars<\/strong> in the form of <strong>non-repayable Official Development Assistance (ODA)<\/strong> to promote <strong>electric mobility<\/strong> in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the sanction in an extraordinary session of <strong>Deputies<\/strong>, with <strong>51 votes<\/strong>, on <strong>December 17 last<\/strong>, it was sent to the <strong>Executive Power<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the La Naci\u00f3n newspaper, the bill \u201capproves the memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the government of <strong>the Republic of Korea and the government of the Republic of Paraguay,<\/strong> aimed at establishing the Paraguayan Center for Recommendations and Technological Solutions from Korea (TASK) for the advancement of auto parts and pilot plan for electric mobility\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You may also read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/paraguay-will-move-towards-sustainable-mobility-with-electric-buses-of-taiwanese-origin\/\">Paraguay Steps Towards Sustainable Mobility with New Electric Buses<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Paraguay-1024x572-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44439\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Paraguay-1024x572-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Paraguay-1024x572-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Paraguay-1024x572-1-768x429.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-work-stages\"><strong>Work stages<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This <strong>Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)<\/strong> was signed on <strong>October 26, 2020<\/strong> by <strong>Her Nam Yong<\/strong>, president of <strong>Korea Automotive Technology Institute (Katech)<\/strong>, and the then minister <strong>Liz Cramer<\/strong>, as head of the <strong>Ministry of Industry and Commerce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>November 3, 2023<\/strong>, that state portfolio sent the proposal to the <strong>Senate<\/strong>, which gave it <strong>partial approval<\/strong> on <strong>October 16, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deputy Juan Manuel A\u00f1azco<\/strong>, president of the <strong>Foreign Relations Commission<\/strong>, highlighted that the agreement will boost the development of the <strong>Paraguayan automotive industry<\/strong>, strengthening <strong>technological innovation<\/strong> in auto parts manufacturing;
