At <strong>CES 2025<\/strong>, the Japanese company announced that <strong>the buildings comprising its first phase are now complete<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Japanese manufacturer is following an <strong>ambitious schedule<\/strong>, planning to host <strong>the first residents of the enclave<\/strong> during this first phase, which is expected to happen in <strong>autumn of this year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, about <strong>100 residents<\/strong>, mostly employees of <strong>Toyota<\/strong> and its subsidiary <strong>Woven by Toyota<\/strong>, will move with their families to this <strong>miniature city<\/strong>, located within the grounds of its <strong>Higashi-Fuji plant<\/strong> in the <strong>Shizuoka region<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You may also read:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/toyota-triples-investments-in-electromobility-in-mexico\/\">Toyota Triples Investments in Electromobility in Mexico<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Toyota-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44866\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Toyota-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Toyota-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Toyota-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Toyota-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This will create a community of <strong>360 residents ready to live and innovate together<\/strong> in <strong>the future of mobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-plans\"><strong>The Plans<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong>Toyota&#8217;s statement<\/strong>, this <strong>launch of Woven City<\/strong>, now official, will also be supported by <strong>a mass invitation<\/strong> to <strong>startups<\/strong>, <strong>entrepreneurs<\/strong>, <strong>universities<\/strong>, and <strong>research institutes<\/strong>, who will be able to join the project through an <strong>accelerator entity<\/strong> that <strong>will launch in summer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the city&#8217;s leaders are <strong>already in talks<\/strong> with other Japanese companies, such as <strong>the oil company Eneos<\/strong> and <strong>the telecom company NTT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To foster this <strong>co-creation environment<\/strong>, the city\u2019s design was developed with its <strong>residents as the priority<\/strong>, featuring a layout where everyone will always have <strong>easy access<\/strong> to the resources needed to <strong>carry out their projects<\/strong> as well as the services required <strong>for daily life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once <strong>Toyota<\/strong> completes <strong>this first phase<\/strong>, the development of <strong>Woven City<\/strong> will continue with <strong>a second phase<\/strong>, where the number of residents is expected to <strong>increase significantly<\/strong>, eventually reaching <strong>approximately 2,000 people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toyota is making significant progress in completing Woven City, the mobility-focused city the brand decided to build in 2018.
