{"id":44933,"date":"2025-01-16T05:30:31","date_gmt":"2025-01-16T10:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=44933"},"modified":"2025-01-16T20:09:05","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T01:09:05","slug":"learn-about-the-tax-incentives-for-using-electric-vehicles-in-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/learn-about-the-tax-incentives-for-using-electric-vehicles-in-mexico\/","title":{"rendered":"Learn about the tax incentives for using electric vehicles in Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The presentation of the <strong>Olinia<\/strong> project has had a significant impact on Mexico&#8217;s plans to expand <strong>electric mobility<\/strong> and contribute to <strong>environmental conservation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal is to encourage the use of these vehicles, which is why the <strong>Mexican government<\/strong> has been offering some <strong>incentives<\/strong> since last year for those who own these vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/MX-1-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44929\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/MX-1-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/MX-1-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/MX-1-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/MX-1-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The exemptions include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discounts on <strong>toll booths<\/strong> on highways in <strong>Mexico City<\/strong> and the <strong>State of Mexico<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exemption from paying the <strong>federal tax on new cars (ISAN)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deduction of <strong>income tax (ISR)<\/strong> for the depreciation of electric vehicles for any taxpayer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deduction of <strong>25% of ISR<\/strong> for investments in <strong>conventional bicycles<\/strong>, bicycles, and motorcycles powered by <strong>rechargeable electric batteries<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduction of up to <strong>285 pesos per day per vehicle<\/strong> from ISR for the use or temporary enjoyment of cars powered by <strong>rechargeable electric batteries<\/strong>, as well as for <strong>electric cars<\/strong> that also have an <strong>internal combustion engine<\/strong> or a <strong>hydrogen-powered engine<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These vehicles can even be charged at <strong>home outlets<\/strong> or parking lots, and the <strong>Federal Electricity Commission (CFE)<\/strong> offers <strong>free installation<\/strong> of meters for charging stations so that charging does not increase consumption, shifting from a <strong>domestic rate<\/strong> to a <strong>high domestic consumption rate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-latam-mobility-nbsp-on-nbsp-february-20-2025-nbsp-in-nbsp-monterrey\"><strong>Latam Mobility<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>February 20, 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Monterrey<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>February 20, 2025<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in&nbsp;<strong>Latin America<\/strong>&nbsp;begins its tour in&nbsp;<strong>Monterrey, Mexico<\/strong>, with the second edition of the \u201c<strong>North America Mobility Summit 2025<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Monterrey-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44518\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Monterrey-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Monterrey-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Monterrey-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Monterrey-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Monterrey.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mexico<\/strong>&nbsp;has become an important bastion for the region with the arrival of major brands in the automotive industry, with interesting plans to install electric vehicle plants.
