Closing out 2024, the Porsche Center Puerto Rico<\/strong> hosted its “T\u00e9cnico por un D\u00eda”<\/strong> program, aimed at students from the Racing Engineering College<\/strong> at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayag\u00fcez Campus (RUM).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The main goal of this activity was to provide over 60 aspiring engineers with a hands-on experience in hybrid and electric vehicle technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the event, Porsche AG-certified technicians<\/strong> delivered an in-depth overview of the differences between conventional hybrid and plug-in vehicles, as well as the basics of these technologies and the transition toward fully electric cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also Read<\/strong>: Porsche Taycan Electric Updates Now Available in Latin America<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Students had the chance to work directly with Porsche equipment and workstations<\/strong>, engaging with detailed presentations on electric motors and gaining a deeper understanding of the components and operation of advanced propulsion systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Orlando P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, General Sales Manager at Porsche Center Puerto Rico<\/strong>, stated: “We are thrilled to provide this learning platform for the talented students of RUM, who are at the forefront of automotive engineering.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n With over 70 years of engineering expertise, Porsche<\/strong> combined its legacy with cutting-edge technologies to promote a more sustainable future in Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fabi\u00e1n Toro<\/strong>, a third-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayag\u00fcez Campus, shared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n “The opportunity to work alongside Porsche not only inspires us to bring innovations in sustainable mobility but also opens doors to future entrepreneurial opportunities where we can grow as engineers and proudly represent the product of Puerto Rico’s education.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n On February 20, 2025<\/strong>, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America<\/strong> begins its tour in Monterrey, Mexico<\/strong>, with the second edition of the \u201cNorth America Mobility Summit 2025<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mexico<\/strong> has become an important bastion for the region with the arrival of major brands in the automotive industry, with interesting plans to install electric vehicle plants.
