Mobility: The EU Strengthens Alliance with Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In November of last year, the <strong>Delegation of the European Union (EU)<\/strong> in Mexico, along with the embassies of Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Sweden, organized a tour in Mexico City to highlight the importance of <strong>sustainable mobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is part of the <strong>EU&#8217;s Global Gateway Strategy<\/strong>, which aims to combat climate change and promote <strong>greener, more resilient cities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tour began at the <strong>Diana the Huntress Fountain<\/strong>, continued to the Los Pinos Cultural Complex and the Dolores Cemetery, and concluded at the 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the journey, participants used the <strong>Ecobici and Cableb\u00fas systems<\/strong>, demonstrating the feasibility and efficiency of <strong>low- or zero-emission transportation methods<\/strong> in urban settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-european-union-and-mexico\"><strong>European Union and Mexico<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambassador Francisco Andr\u00e9 emphasized that this activity is part of the cooperative efforts between the EU and Mexico under the <strong>Global Gateway Strategy<\/strong>, which seeks to consolidate <strong>sustainable infrastructure and connectivity projects<\/strong> that benefit both the environment and local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the activity is part of the EU&#8217;s broader efforts to promote and advance <strong>green, safe, and smart transportation<\/strong>, in collaboration with its partners, with whom it shares values such as <strong>sustainability, cooperation, and good governance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, it is worth noting that <strong>World Sustainable Transport Day<\/strong> was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in recognition of the importance of having transportation systems that are <strong>safe, accessible, and affordable<\/strong>, promoting economic development, social well-being, and international cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Monterrey<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>February 20, 2025<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in&nbsp;<strong>Latin America<\/strong>&nbsp;begins its tour in&nbsp;<strong>Monterrey, Mexico<\/strong>, with the second edition of the \u201c<strong>North America Mobility Summit 2025<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"
