Since mid-year, the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil<\/strong> approved a bill creating an innovation and sustainable mobility program called Mover<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Similar to the Rota 2030<\/strong> program, Mover<\/strong> targets car manufacturers and sectors of auto parts and strategic systems in vehicle production, with the main goal of promoting research, development, and innovation (R&D&I)<\/strong> projects throughout the sector\u2019s chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The incentives include a reduced IPI tax rate<\/strong> for sustainable vehicles, the generation of financial credits for investments in innovation, and a reduction in Import Duty<\/strong> for auto parts not produced locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This green mobility program extends the fiscal benefits in Rota 2030<\/strong> and includes the creation of the National Fund for Industrial and Technological Development (FNDIT)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The purpose of the FNDIT<\/strong> is to raise funds from industrial policies to finance priority programs and projects that drive industrial, scientific, and technological development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On February 20, 2025<\/strong>, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America<\/strong> begins its tour in Monterrey, Mexico<\/strong>, with the second edition of the \u201cNorth America Mobility Summit 2025<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mexico<\/strong> has become an important bastion for the region with the arrival of major brands in the automotive industry, with interesting plans to install electric vehicle plants.
