An analysis by Fenalco Antioquia<\/strong> indicates that Colombia<\/strong> has experienced exponential growth in the registration of new hybrid and electric vehicles<\/strong> over the past two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2024<\/strong>, 9,178 new electric vehicles<\/strong> were registered, representing a 150% increase<\/strong> compared to the previous year (3,677 registrations<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, 2025<\/strong> began with solid growth, as 966 new electric vehicles<\/strong> were registered in January<\/strong>: 345% more<\/strong> than in 2024<\/strong> (217 registrations<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Bernal Gaviria<\/strong>, executive director of Fenalco Antioquia<\/strong>, stated that the department, in addition to also showing exponential growth, is an \u201cimportant client\u201d<\/strong> of electric vehicles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2024<\/strong>, 1,684 new electric vehicles<\/strong> were registered, representing a 52.3% increase<\/strong> compared to the previous year (1,106 registrations<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Antioquia<\/strong> accounted for 18%<\/strong> of these vehicles, making it the second-largest demand area after Bogot\u00e1 DC<\/strong> (which is the largest market for this sector, with 57%<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Regarding hybrids<\/strong>: in 2024<\/strong>, 7,361 new hybrid vehicles<\/strong> were registered, representing a 51.1% increase<\/strong> compared to the previous year (4,872 registrations<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Antioquia<\/strong> accounted for 17%<\/strong> of these vehicles, making it the second-largest demand area after Bogot\u00e1<\/strong> (which is the largest market for this sector, with 42%<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n On February 20, 2025<\/strong>, Latam Mobility<\/strong>, the largest sustainable mobility community in Latin America<\/strong> begins its tour in Monterrey, Mexico<\/strong>, with the second edition of the \u201cNorth America Mobility Summit 2025<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mexico<\/strong> has become an important bastion for the region with the arrival of major brands in the automotive industry, with interesting plans to install electric vehicle plants.
