The Secretary of Energy of Mexico<\/strong>, Luz Elena Gonz\u00e1lez Escobar<\/strong>, met with the Governor of Jalisco<\/strong>, Pablo Lemus Navarro<\/strong>, to discuss energy infrastructure projects<\/strong> in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The official stated that the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE)<\/strong> will carry out energy generation and transmission initiatives<\/strong>, along with actions focused on electromobility<\/strong>, biofuels<\/strong>, and energy justice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to Gonz\u00e1lez Escobar<\/strong>, this meeting aimed to address a common agenda<\/strong> in energy<\/strong> and social matters<\/strong> for the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Recently, the Government of Jalisco<\/strong> announced that the tourist destination<\/strong> of Puerto Vallarta<\/strong> will soon have a new public transportation system<\/strong>, which will have massive reach<\/strong> and be environmentally friendly<\/strong> for the municipality, as an electromobility model<\/strong> will be implemented, according to the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Governor Lemus Navarro<\/strong> detailed that the new public transportation system<\/strong> in Puerto Vallarta<\/strong> will require an estimated investment<\/strong> of 897 million pesos<\/strong> and will serve approximately 20,000 users<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The state authorities<\/strong> project a highly favorable environmental impact<\/strong> for the tourist destination<\/strong>, as the new units<\/strong> will be fully electric<\/strong>, avoiding the use of fossil fuels<\/strong>, and the mass capacities<\/strong> of the upcoming transport system<\/strong> will reduce the number of buses<\/strong> currently operating in that coastal municipality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The President of Mexico<\/strong>, Claudia Sheinbaum<\/strong>, presented at the beginning of the year the Olinia project<\/strong>, the first Mexican manufacturer<\/strong> of electric mini-vehicles<\/strong> that by the end of the six-year term<\/strong>, in 2030<\/strong>, aims to produce three models<\/strong> priced between $4,500<\/strong> and $7,500<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The assembly plant<\/strong>, which will combine public and private capital<\/strong>, will develop a personal mobility mini-vehicle<\/strong>, another for “neighborhood mobility<\/strong>” for short distances<\/strong>, and one more for last-mile deliveries<\/strong>, detailed Roberto Capuano<\/strong>, in charge of the project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In statements reported by the EFE news agency<\/strong>, he stated that “our goal<\/strong> is to launch the three models<\/strong> with a company<\/strong> that has public and private investment<\/strong>, that is economically viable<\/strong> and has long-term prospects<\/strong>.
