{"id":46169,"date":"2025-02-18T05:20:26","date_gmt":"2025-02-18T10:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/?p=46169"},"modified":"2025-02-17T17:45:29","modified_gmt":"2025-02-17T22:45:29","slug":"mexico-expands-electromobility-initiatives-and-alliances-throughout-the-territory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/mexico-expands-electromobility-initiatives-and-alliances-throughout-the-territory\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico Expands Electromobility Initiatives and Alliances throughout the Territory"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Secretary of Energy of Mexico<\/strong>, <strong>Luz Elena Gonz\u00e1lez Escobar<\/strong>, met with the <strong>Governor of Jalisco<\/strong>, <strong>Pablo Lemus Navarro<\/strong>, to discuss <strong>energy infrastructure projects<\/strong> in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official stated that the <strong>Federal Electricity Commission (CFE)<\/strong> will carry out <strong>energy generation and transmission initiatives<\/strong>, along with actions focused on <strong>electromobility<\/strong>, <strong>biofuels<\/strong>, and <strong>energy justice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong>Gonz\u00e1lez Escobar<\/strong>, this meeting aimed to address a <strong>common agenda<\/strong> in <strong>energy<\/strong> and <strong>social matters<\/strong> for the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-initiatives-in-the-state\"><strong>Initiatives in the state<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, the <strong>Government of Jalisco<\/strong> announced that the <strong>tourist destination<\/strong> of <strong>Puerto Vallarta<\/strong> will soon have a new <strong>public transportation system<\/strong>, which will have <strong>massive reach<\/strong> and be <strong>environmentally friendly<\/strong> for the municipality, as an <strong>electromobility model<\/strong> will be implemented, according to the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Governor Lemus Navarro<\/strong> detailed that the new <strong>public transportation system<\/strong> in <strong>Puerto Vallarta<\/strong> will require an <strong>estimated investment<\/strong> of <strong>897 million pesos<\/strong> and will serve approximately <strong>20,000 users<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>state authorities<\/strong> project a highly favorable <strong>environmental impact<\/strong> for the <strong>tourist destination<\/strong>, as the <strong>new units<\/strong> will be fully <strong>electric<\/strong>, avoiding the use of <strong>fossil fuels<\/strong>, and the <strong>mass capacities<\/strong> of the upcoming <strong>transport system<\/strong> will reduce the number of <strong>buses<\/strong> currently operating in that <strong>coastal municipality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-1-1024x572.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-1-1024x572.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-1-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/latamobility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/MX-3-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-olinia-and-a-state-policy\"><strong>Olinia<\/strong> and a <strong>State Policy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>President of Mexico<\/strong>, <strong>Claudia Sheinbaum<\/strong>, presented at the beginning of the year the <strong>Olinia project<\/strong>, the first <strong>Mexican manufacturer<\/strong> of <strong>electric mini-vehicles<\/strong> that by the end of the <strong>six-year term<\/strong>, in <strong>2030<\/strong>, aims to produce three <strong>models<\/strong> priced between <strong>$4,500<\/strong> and <strong>$7,500<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>assembly plant<\/strong>, which will combine <strong>public and private capital<\/strong>, will develop a <strong>personal mobility mini-vehicle<\/strong>, another for &#8220;<strong>neighborhood mobility<\/strong>&#8221; for <strong>short distances<\/strong>, and one more for <strong>last-mile deliveries<\/strong>, detailed <strong>Roberto Capuano<\/strong>, in charge of the <strong>project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In statements reported by the <strong>EFE news agency<\/strong>, he stated that &#8220;<strong>our goal<\/strong> is to launch the <strong>three models<\/strong> with a <strong>company<\/strong> that has <strong>public and private investment<\/strong>, that is <strong>economically viable<\/strong> and has <strong>long-term prospects<\/strong>.
