Additionally, rapid charging points (ranging from 22 to 50 kW) saw an increase of 11.95%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also ready: <a href=\"https:\/\/latamobility.com\/en\/low-emission-zones-in-spain-challenges-progress-and-state-support\/\"><strong>Low Emission Zones in Spain: Challenges, Progress and State Support<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Geographically, the autonomous communities of Catalonia, Madrid, and Andalusia continue to lead in terms of the number of <strong>charging points in Spain<\/strong>, with Andalusia quickly catching up to Madrid in terms of operational infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite this growth, it is estimated that around 3,500 <strong>charging points in Spain<\/strong> are non-operational due to reasons such as maintenance or a lack of up-to-date information on their status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This progress highlights Spain\u2019s commitment to electric mobility and the necessary infrastructure for a transition to more sustainable mobility, solidifying its position as a leader in Europe in electric vehicle charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The number of charging points in Spain has seen a significant increase of 7.7% in the first quarter of 2025, reaching a total of 43,559 operational points compared to the previous quarter.
