The advancement of electric mobility in Mexico <\/strong>took a significant step forward with the announcement of a strategic alliance between XCharge<\/strong>, a global provider of high-power charging solutions, and FAZT Charging<\/strong>, a company specializing in ultra-fast charging backed by Spanish energy company FactorEnergia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to install an extensive network of fast and ultra-fast charging stations throughout the country<\/strong>, leveraging the extensive network of stores belonging to the Soriana retail chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a Large Scale and in Collaboration with Soriana<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The initiative involves the deployment of charging infrastructure in more than 700 Soriana supermarkets throughout Mexico<\/strong>, taking advantage of the presence and accessibility of these everyday locations to facilitate the recharging of electric vehicles in urban areas and high-traffic roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soriana<\/strong>, one of the country’s leading self-service chains, operates more than 780 stores<\/strong> in various locations, constituting a strategic platform for the development of electric mobility infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first phase of the project, the first 30 charging sites are expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2026<\/strong>, with more than 80 additional stations<\/strong> scheduled to be active before the end of that same year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This first stage includes 440 fast charging points around Soriana stores<\/strong>, an average of four points per location, equivalent to two stations with two connectors each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"FAZT\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Goal: 1,000 Charging Points by 2030<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the initial phase, the long-term goal of the alliance between XCharge<\/strong> and FAZT <\/strong>is to establish up to 1,000 operational charging points throughout Mexico by 2030<\/strong>, positioning the network as one of the most important in the country in terms of coverage and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This deployment would contribute to significantly expanding the public charging infrastructure, improving the experience of electric vehicle users<\/strong> and supporting the energy transition in the transport sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This network is shaping up to be a key element in meeting the growing demand for charging points, especially as the adoption of electric vehicles accelerates in Mexico <\/strong>and in contexts where public infrastructure still fails to meet the needs of users throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advanced Technology and Universal Compatibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The chargers to be installed are part of XCharge’s C6EU line<\/strong>, offering charging power ranging from 60 kW to 200 kW<\/strong>, enabling faster and more efficient recharging<\/strong> at everyday destinations such as supermarkets, shopping malls, and high-density road corridors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This equipment includes support for multiple connector standards, NACS <\/strong>(popularized by Tesla <\/strong>and increasingly adopted by US manufacturers), GBT <\/strong>(common among Chinese brands such as BYD <\/strong>and JAC<\/strong>), and CCS1 <\/strong>(widely used in America), ensuring compatibility with a wide range of electric vehicles available in the Mexican and regional markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stations will also be integrated with the FAZT <\/strong>app, which will allow users to locate charging points, manage payments, and monitor the status of each charging session<\/strong> in real time, enhancing the user experience through digital technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FAZT <\/strong>executives have indicated that the choice of XCharge <\/strong>as a technology partner is based on its proven experience in high-power charging solutions and its ability to adapt technologies to the specific needs of the Mexican market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This synergy between XCharge<\/strong>‘s technological vision, FAZT<\/strong>‘s infrastructure expertise, and Soriana<\/strong>‘s territorial coverage creates a strategic combination with the potential to transform the way electric drivers access public charging services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the progressive rollout of infrastructure beginning in 2026 and projected to continue through 2030<\/strong>, the alliance between XCharge, FAZT Charging, and Soriana<\/strong> represents a significant step forward in strengthening the public charging network in Mexico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
