The company will allocate more than $1.5 million<\/strong> throughout 2026 to strengthen charging infrastructure<\/strong> for electric vehicles, a measure that seeks to eliminate one of the main barriers to user access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative not only represents a milestone in the brand’s electrification strategy in the region, but also consolidates it as a key player<\/strong> in building a cleaner, more accessible mobility ecosystem<\/strong> for all Colombians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KIA<\/strong>‘s new investment will be realized through a strategic partnership with the engineering firm Dielco<\/strong>, with which the company has been developing a charging network at strategic, high-traffic points in Bogot\u00e1 and other cities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration aims to accelerate the installation of new charging stations, facilitating the so-called “opportunity charging”<\/strong> for users at shopping malls, universities, and road corridors, making the experience of charging an electric vehicle “as simple as parking.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The measure directly responds to one of the main needs of the Colombian market in its process of adopting new technologies, where the availability of charging points is a determining factor<\/strong> in consumers’ purchase decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, KIA<\/strong> already has a charging infrastructure that exceeds 76 connection points nationwide, distributed among its own dealerships and high-traffic public spaces in alliance with Dielco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the most relevant points are the stations located at the Tit\u00e1n Plaza, Atlantis, and the recently inaugurated City U (Universidad de los Andes), which feature 24 kW (DC) fast chargers and 7.5 kW (AC) chargers for use by the general public and free of charge for the university community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
