Colombia<\/strong> is preparing to reaffirm its leadership in the energy transition of transportation with the celebration of \u00abLatam Mobility Colombia 2026<\/a>\u00bb<\/strong><\/strong>, the premier regional gathering for sustainable mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The summit will take place on June 10 and 11<\/strong> at the Medell\u00edn Botanical Garden<\/strong> and will bring together more than 1,000 attendees<\/strong>, including representatives from national and local governments, low-emission vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, infrastructure providers, and public mobility policy experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Costa Rica<\/strong> will participate as the guest country of honor, sharing its experience in decarbonization and transportation electrification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growth of Electric Mobility in Colombia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The country has experienced significant progress in the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles in recent months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to industry figures, electric vehicle registrations in Colombia grew more than 100%<\/strong> in the first quarter of 2026, with year\u2011over\u2011year increases exceeding 200%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This dynamism has been driven by a favorable regulatory framework that includes tax benefits, tax exemptions, and co\u2011financing programs for public and private fleets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charging infrastructure has also seen sustained expansion, with more than 1,000 charging points<\/strong> distributed throughout the country, including fast\u2011charging stations that can recover up to 80% of the battery in less than 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These advances have positioned Bogot\u00e1, Medell\u00edn, and Cali<\/strong> as the cities with the greatest sustainable mobility development in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
