<\/figure>\n\n\n\nElectric mobility in Colombia continues to have a significant impact on the vehicle fleet. According to the latest report delivered by the Ministry of Transportation, corresponding to February 2022, the country registered more than 7,000 registered electric cars, a figure that demonstrates the rapid growth of this segment, which until 2018 was only 2,165.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Incentives resulting from public policies, and large investments from the private sector, have pushed these new technologies to gain a foothold in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the companies that is carrying out important projects in Colombia is Celsia, focused on renewable energies and energy efficiency, which has reached an important agreement with El Dorado International Airport, located in Bogota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pact led to the installation of the first charging point for electric vehicles in the central parking lot of the terminal, with the aim of contributing to the development of electromobility and combating the pollution generated by combustion cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first electric vehicle charging point at El Dorado has three stations with a capacity of 7.5 kW each. In this center, travelers and visitors will be able to recharge the battery of hybrid vehicles or 100% electric vehicles with type one, two and GB\/AC connectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With this alliance, El Dorado and Celsia contribute to promote the use of clean energies that decontaminate the city. Thanks to the use of these recharging points, one ton of carbon dioxide emissions per month are eliminated, which is equivalent to the equivalent of not refueling 135 conventional vehicles with fossil fuel every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition, the agreement is part of the airport’s roadmap to promote more sustainable mobility and leverage its goal of reducing emissions by 40% by 2025 and 57% by 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n OPAIN’s infrastructure manager, Mauricio V\u00e9lez, emphasized that the initiative seeks to generate sustainable connections to provide solutions to terminal users who have already made this transition and currently have hybrid or 100% electric vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For his part, Celsia’s Commercial Leader, Luis Felipe V\u00e9lez pointed out that this is the first electric charging point in an airport in Colombia, adding to the entire mobility ecosystem that Celsia is deploying in the country to promote a more sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “There are already more than 1,500 electric charging points between corporate, business, public and residential in Valle del Cauca, Tolima, Bolivar, Antioquia, Cundinamarca and Eje Cafetero”, he explained.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Electric mobility in Colombia continues to have a significant impact on the vehicle fleet.
