Electric mobility in Colombia continues to have a significant impact on the vehicle fleet. According to the latest report delivered by the Ministry of Transportation, corresponding to February 2022, the country registered more than 7,000 registered electric cars, a figure that demonstrates the rapid growth of this segment, which until 2018 was only 2,165.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Incentives resulting from public policies, and large investments from the private sector, have pushed these new technologies to gain a foothold in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the companies that is carrying out important projects in Colombia is Celsia, focused on renewable energies and energy efficiency, which has reached an important agreement with El Dorado International Airport, located in Bogota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pact led to the installation of the first charging point for electric vehicles in the central parking lot of the terminal, with the aim of contributing to the development of electromobility and combating the pollution generated by combustion cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
