<\/figure>\n\n\n\nSpain has set important goals for the implementation of sustainable mobility, with the objective that its transportation systems respond to economic, social and environmental needs, minimizing carbon emissions and other negative impacts on the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this sense, through a Council of Ministers held in 2021, the Spanish Sustainable Mobility Strategy (EEMS) was introduced. This strategy emerges as a reference framework that integrates the principles and coordination tools to guide and give coherence to sectoral policies that facilitate sustainable and low-carbon mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Private enterprise has significantly adhered to this program, with the proliferation of platforms that emerge as efficient and environmentally friendly options for users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of these companies is Free Now, a mobility application that has been operating in Spain for a year now, and to celebrate its anniversary announced an important partnership with Zity, a 100% electric carsharing service with a fleet of 800 vehicles in Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Free Now made the leap to multi-mobility by adding Cooltra’s electric bikes and scooters to the app and, since then, has continued to expand its service offering with carsharing and electric scooters with mobility providers that are experts in their segment, such as Dott, Share Now, Tier and Voi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, the platform is reinforcing its multimodal offering in Madrid thanks to its alliance with Zity, which has a 100% electric fleet of 4- and 5-door cars in the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This announcement was made at the meeting “The Boom of Micromobility: is it Here to Stay?”, organized by Free Now as part of its first anniversary as a mobility super app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Thanks to the alliance with Zity we will increase the offer of car sharing in Madrid, where we see that there is a great demand for this service week after week, while taking another step towards our goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030,” said Free Now CEO Isabel Garc\u00eda Frontera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For his part, Zity CEO Javier Mateos noted that they found in Free Now the ideal partner to bring their sustainable mobility model to more people. “We hope to learn from their experience and offer users of both platforms more and better options for their daily commute.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n With this agreement, Free Now aims to reinforce its positioning as a company committed to sustainable, efficient and connected urban mobility, as well as to offer a fast, flexible and frictionless user experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Spain has set important goals for the implementation of sustainable mobility, with the objective that its transportation systems respond to economic, social and environmental needs, minimizing carbon emissions and other negative impacts on the environment.
