The 20th Assembly of the Latin American Region of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) was recently held in Mexico, a conference where Yutong was present to discuss the impact on sustainable mobility in the country.
There, the bus company shared with approximately 200 guests from the transportation sector, representing Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica and Uruguay.
Attendees included the secretary general of UITP Global, UITP’s regional president for Latin America, representatives of Latin America’s regional transport management departments, and representatives of operators and funding institutions.

In this regard, Ren Wenhui, Yutong Mexico’s Commercial Director, highlighted the company’s role in the implementation of electric transport systems by driving the technical development of electric buses and large-scale promotion of these vehicles.
He also highlighted the substantial benefits for users, such as improved safety, energy savings and the implementation of smarter operations. Thus, Wenhui put special emphasis on the successful case of Yutong’s electric buses in Mexico City.
Yutong’s Impact
As a partner with Mexico City (CDMX), Yutong has successfully implemented environmentally friendly buses such as the E12, E18 and trolleybuses, contributing significantly to the local public transport system.
This commitment is not limited to Mexico, as Yutong intends to play a proactive role in the implementation of E-Mobility systems globally, seeking to benefit operators and promote sustainable cities worldwide.
