During 2022, Geotab has established itself as one of the leading fleet management and administration companies. The telematics specialists reached 3 million connected vehicles on a global scale, and continues to establish key partnerships to refine its operations and offer customers a sustainable and technologically advanced high-end solution for their units.
In this regard, the company announced a partnership with Agero, a provider of driver safety services and technology through software, pushing the boundaries of big data to transform the entire driving experience.
Notably, most major vehicle manufacturers and insurance providers use Agero’s platform to strengthen their businesses and create stronger connections, with the goal of making driving smarter and safer for everyone.
Geotab and Agero announced that roadside assistance services are now available to the fleet telematics company’s customers. Geotab’s updated Roadside Add-In offers quick and easy access to help provided by a trusted name in roadside assistance.
How the Technology Works
Geotab’s Roadside Add-In leverages Agero’s selected third-party network of digitally enabled light, medium and heavy-duty service providers.
By continuously qualifying, monitoring and measuring these companies against key performance metrics, Agero combines data analytics, territory and job optimization, and relationship management to ensure the right vehicle is dispatched with the right equipment, increasing uptime and improving fleet productivity.
The tool is available through Geotab Marketplace and provides services such as towing, locksmithing, battery booster, fuel delivery, flat tire change and more, for light vehicles in the United States and Canada.
With more than two decades of experience leveraging telematics technology, Agero’s emphasis on transparency and digitally optimized experiences keep drivers informed about the current status of their request, including real-time updates on estimated time of arrival, live truck tracking on a map and customizable SMS alerts.
