After the announcement of Stellantis with a millionaire investment in Argentine copper for the manufacture of electric vehicles, another interesting news arises in the path of electromobility in the country.
The Foton brand presented the “eAumark”, a 100% electrified truck that is already available in the market of the South American nation.
The vehicle is equipped with the latest generation CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries, which ensure a range between 200 and 250 km. The fast charge power (with direct current) is 80kw and takes about six hours (up to 80%) and the basic charge (with alternating current) is 11kw and takes eight hours (100%).
Machinery
According to the specifications released by Foton, the electric motor is 115 kW (about 155 hp) and 300 Nm. It is capable of delivering a top speed of 80 km/h and measures 5.96 meters long, 2.06 meters wide, 2.26 meters high and 3.36 meters between axles. It has a gross weight of six tons and can carry 3,575 kilograms of cargo.
The equipment includes several new features, such as stability control, autonomous braking, collision and lane change warning and approach sound due to its electric status.
The vehicle is marketed by the Iraola Group (through its commercial vehicle division CNV Motors) and is already on sale.

Safety
This is the first 100% electric truck in its category in Argentina. It comes equipped as standard with safety devices that few Chinese vehicles offer in the country, such as collision risk alert and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
The anti-lock braking system is a device that varies the braking force to prevent the tires from slipping on the ground during the braking process.
It has an electronic stability control, also known as ESP, an active safety system that acts when a critical grip limit is reached. The system helps the driver control the vehicle by braking the wheels individually and adjusting engine power.
In addition, the Foton eAumark has a platform that alerts the driver in situations where there is a risk of collision with other vehicles ahead.
According to Foton, the vehicle is warranted for three years or 100,000 kilometers.
