BYD Achieves Six Million New Energy Vehicles

Last November 24, BYD, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of new energy vehicles and electric batteries, reached a historic milestone with the release of its 6 millionth new energy car from the production line of the Zhengzhou factory.

Notably, the Asian company went from 5 million to 6 million in just three months, showing production capacity muscle.

BYD noted in a press release that the 6 millionth new energy vehicle, christened BAO 5, a super-hybrid off-road SUV from BYD’s customized professional sub-brand FANGCHENGBAO, was celebrated at a ceremony where co-workers shared the joy of this remarkable achievement.

Sales Leadership

BYD also reported that the various brand matrices, including Dynasty, Ocean, FANGCHENGBAO, Denza and Yangwang series, were upgraded. In October, the brand achieved a monthly sales record, surpassing 300,000 new energy vehicles.

Since 2010, BYD has been actively expanding its global presence, introducing new energy buses and cabs for the electrification of public transportation.

With a decade of dedicated efforts, BYD‘s electric public transportation solutions now operate in more than 400 cities in over 70 countries.

To expand its global footprint, BYD adopted a dual approach of exports and local production to accelerate the global presence of new energy passenger vehicles.

Currently, BYD has entered 58 countries and regions, and has surpassed cumulative sales of 200,000 passenger vehicle units, with major victories in the new energy vehicle market in Thailand, Brazil, among others.
