Tesla, through Tesla Motors Colombia SAS, was registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota to confirm its operations in the country in the near future.
According to local press reports, Elon Musk’s brand will be engaged in the trade of new motor vehicles, maintenance and repair, commercialization of electric energy and manufacture of electric energy distribution and control devices.
In a note from El Colombiano, it is detailed that Tesla‘s legal representative in Colombia will be David Jon Feinstein, who serves as Senior Director of Global Trade and New Markets in the organization.
According to a document leaked on social networks, the U.S. company was incorporated last January 4 in the Latin American country as Tesla Motor Colombia, making the nation the third in the region to receive the electric automotive giant.

Roadmap in Colombia
Tesla vehicles had already arrived in Colombia in 2019, but had to be imported in person, which significantly raises the price of the automaker.
The foreign conglomerate Tesla International B.V. will be the one to exercise control situation over the subsidiary.
According to the newspaper La República, this firm of the conglomerate is based in the Netherlands and functions as the parent company of different markets in which Tesla is installed, such as Spain or Chile, where it opened its first store just two weeks ago.
In other details, it was learned that the subscribed capital of Tesla Motors Colombia amounts to $10,000 million.
The latter is divided into 100,000 ordinary shares of nominal value, 100% owned by Tesla International B.V.
