The main solutions and products presented by the firm were related to the areas of Motion (MO) and Electrification (EL), two segments with advanced technologies that provide greater efficiency and sustainability to the operations of this market, which represents 1.5% of the GDP in Chile.

“ABB has many divisions working in parallel, and this type of event is an opportunity for customers to see the firm with the Electrification and Motion divisions working together, in order to present the portfolio of products and solutions, which often complement each other,” added Francisco Torres, Product Marketing Specialist Motor Starting & Safety at ABB.

For his part, Barrera explained that the Drakkar is the most complete mobile showroom in ABB’s motor solutions, which takes the training to the customers’ facilities, without them having to move their operators from the plant.

He also highlighted that at the exhibition the company was able to present electric motor solutions with a high level of efficiency for the food industry, in addition to the ultra-low harmonic drives that provide great reliability to electrical systems, and the ABB Ability predictive monitoring technology for electric motors and drives.

As for the firm’s digital platform, the Electrification business unit focused on digitization with the ABB Ability™ Energy Manager solution, which provides a safe, intelligent and sustainable infrastructure through data-driven information that enables cost reduction, increased comfort and optimized efficiency.
