The objective was to reflect on the actions needed to promote sustainable road mobility and to guide the sector’s decision makers in the adoption of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria.

Action Lines

Based on the opportunities and challenges identified, a roadmap was built to guide with recommendations and examples of actions to those sectors where road infrastructure is key to their business.

The approach has three essential components, such as self-diagnosis, to evaluate the level of preparedness of companies to adopt ESG practices as an integral part of their business.

It also includes strategies to enhance the company’s capabilities by taking advantage of the areas of opportunity identified in the self-diagnosis.

Finally, it highlights the generation of shared value under ESG criteria for the various users and stakeholders of the road mobility infrastructure sector.

During the presentation, Vanessa Silveyra, Aleatica’s Global Director of Sustainability and Customer Service, emphasized that this analysis represents an unprecedented exercise for the road infrastructure sector.

She pointed out that this collaboration seeks to highlight that the transition to a more sustainable model is not the responsibility of a single entity or sector, but a collective effort.

José Antonio Torre, Director of the Center for the Future of Cities, highlighted the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration to address mobility challenges.
