Electric Vehicles Sales Grow 276% in Colombia during October

FENALCO and ANDI, guilds representing the Automotive Sector in Colombia presented the Vehicle Registration Report as of October 2024, where 18,521 new vehicles were registered as sold, representing an increase of 34% compared to 2023.

The report records a 276% growth in the sale of electric vehicles in October 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year.

This month marks a milestone, being the most successful month in electric vehicle sales to date, surpassing 1,000 units sold.

Hybrid Breakthrough

This shift reflects a growing trend towards sustainable mobility and consumer interest in greener alternatives.

Hybrid vehicles also showed a notable increase, with 84.4% growth compared to October 2023, indicating greater market acceptance of these technologies.

Commercial passenger vehicles stood out with a growth of 78.4%, followed by utility vehicles with 57% and cabs with 35% compared to October 2023.

This demonstrates an increase in demand for vehicles destined to transport people and goods.
